Price Suddarth

Executive Artistic Director

Price Suddarth is an award-winning American choreographer, filmmaker, and retired soloist of Pacific Northwest Ballet. Based in Seattle, he is the Executive Artistic Director and Co-Founder of JUMPKUT Contemporary Ballet, a company dedicated to creating bold, emotionally resonant dance stories for both stage and screen.

A graduate of the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, the School of American Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Price joined Pacific Northwest Ballet in 2010 and performed with the company for 14 seasons before retiring in 2024. In 2018 he was promoted to soloist, earning recognition for his versatility and artistry on stage while simultaneously emerging as a sought-after choreographer.

His choreographic career began at the School of American Ballet and has since included commissions for Pacific Northwest Ballet, New York Choreographic Institute, Kansas City Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, and more. In 2022, he won the Genesis: International Choreographic Competition, and he was a nominee for the Princess Grace Award. He was also the first choreographer invited to create a world premiere for the Ballet Sun Valley Festival. His work spans both traditional stages and new media platforms, from Silent Resonance—a VR film named one of YouTube’s top videos of 2017—to site-specific collaborations and large-scale premieres such as Signature, which made him the youngest choreographer in PNB’s history.

Since 2020, Price has been a leading figure in dance film. He has produced more than a dozen original films with nationally recognized institutions and founded two major festivals: the PNB Dance Film Festival and the Dance in Focus Film Festival with The Music Center in Los Angeles. He also curates a dance-based television series for EVRGRN Channel, founded by Tom Skerritt. In 2024, his achievements were recognized in Raising the Curtain: Technology Success Stories from Performing Arts Leaders and Artists as a significant innovator in the arts.

At JUMPKUT, Price channels this breadth of experience into a permanent home for contemporary ballet in Seattle—building a company where stage and screen converge, artists are empowered to experiment, and dance reaches audiences in bold, unexpected ways.
